Terms of Service: Charlie Chestnut Bakehouse

Effective Date: January 1 2026

Welcome to Charlie Chestnut Bakehouse. By using our website and purchasing our products, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Product & Food Safety
Perishable Goods: Our cookie dough pucks are perishable. Upon delivery, it is the customer’s responsibility to place the product in a freezer immediately.
Ingredients: While we use high-quality organic and non-GMO ingredients, our products are processed in a facility that handles nuts, dairy, wheat, and eggs. Full ingredient lists are available on each product page.

Dry Ice Warning: Never touch Dry Ice with bare skin

2. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping Schedule: To ensure freshness, we ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays only. Orders placed after Wednesday at 12:00 PM EST will ship the following Monday.
Address Accuracy: Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. We cannot be held liable for ruined product due to incorrect addresses or failed delivery attempts where the package is left unattended.
Carrier Delays: While we use express shipping, we are not responsible for delays caused by weather or carrier disruptions once the package leaves our facility.

3. The Freeze-Proof Guarantee & Refund Policy
The Guarantee: We guarantee your dough will arrive cold to the touch or frozen. If your dough arrives completely thawed (room temperature) or the package is damaged, you must notify us in writing within 24 hours of delivery at shipping@charliechestnutbakehouse.ca with clear photo documentation.
Resolution: At our discretion, we will either reship your order at no cost or provide a store credit. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not accept returns.
Exclusions: Our guarantee is void if the package was delivered on time but left outdoors for an extended period, or if an incorrect shipping address was provided.

4. Subscriptions (The Chestnut Club)
Billing: Subscriptions are billed automatically on the frequency selected at checkout (e.g., every 30 days).
Cancellations: You may pause, skip, or cancel your subscription at any time through your account portal. To avoid being charged for your next shipment, cancellations must be made at least 3 business days prior to your scheduled billing date.

5. Pricing & Payments
All prices are shown in [Currency, e.g., CAD]. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Payments are processed securely via our third-party partners. By providing a payment method, you represent that you are authorized to use that method.

6. Intellectual Property
All content on this site—including photos, logos, "The Chestnut Difference" branding, and recipes—is the property of Charlie Chestnut Bakehouse. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

7. Limitation of Liability
Charlie Chestnut Bakehouse is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or the consumption of our products.
